Coming from an athletic background, Katie is driven to find a potent balance between health and performance. She began her training with Chris Robinson at S6 Fitness in San Diego, and then completed her 700 hour apprenticeship under Brooke Siler and Cary Regan at re:AB Pilates in NYC. Katie's passion, ambition, and everyday discipline to her training and education have helped her cultivate an understanding of what it means to have strength with flexibility and control. Katie focuses on authentic Pilates - the original style of Pilates that remains as close as possible to Joseph Pilates’s method regarding the apparatus, exercises, and intent. She combines her science-based education and intuition to transform the way her client's move, look, and perform.
Katie holds an MA in Exercise Physiology from Columbia University and a BS in Physiology & Neuroscience from the University of California, San Diego. She also holds a certificate in the Complete Pilates Method Continuing Professional Education with Chris Robinson. She continues weekly lessons under the close mentorship of Kathi Ross-Nash and is set to matriculate in her studio's Pilates Professional Advanced Teacher Training program in 2018.
